Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your enrollment in and participation in Direction cohort courses operated by Direction Holdings LLC ("Direction," "we," "us"). By reserving a seat or making a payment, you agree to these terms.
1. What you're paying for
Direction offers a four-week cohort course delivered via live weekly sessions, take-home work, a private community, and access to instructors. Each cohort is limited to 30 participants. Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of payment.
Lessons are billed at $99 per week. Each week is a separate transaction. You are not obligated to continue beyond any individual lesson.
2. Refund policy
We want you to feel confident enrolling. Our policy is straightforward:
- If you cancel before the first session begins, you receive a full refund — no questions asked.
- After the first session begins, that lesson ($99) is non-refundable.
- You are never charged for a lesson you have not signed up for. Each week is a separate transaction.
To request a refund, email info@givedirection.com with your name and payment confirmation. Refunds are processed within 5 business days.
3. Cohort scheduling
Session dates and times are confirmed after enrollment closes. We reserve the right to reschedule a session with at least 48 hours notice. If we cancel a session without rescheduling, affected students will receive a pro-rated refund for that lesson.
Sessions are conducted remotely via video conference. A link will be provided prior to each session.
4. Your conduct
Direction cohorts are professional learning environments. We expect participants to engage respectfully with instructors and fellow students. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a cohort — with a pro-rated refund for unused sessions — if their conduct is disruptive, abusive, or harmful to others in the community.
5. Recordings and content
Sessions may be recorded for the benefit of enrolled students. Recordings are shared privately with the cohort and are not published publicly. You agree not to distribute, reproduce, or republish session recordings or curriculum materials outside the cohort without written permission from Direction Holdings LLC.
Curriculum materials, frameworks, and written content provided during the course are the intellectual property of Direction Holdings LLC. Your work product — the thing you build — is entirely yours.
6. No guarantee of outcomes
Direction teaches skills and provides structure, instruction, and community support. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including but not limited to completing a project, shipping a product, generating revenue, or gaining employment. Results depend on your effort, the nature of your project, and factors outside our control.
7. Payments and billing
Payments are processed through Stripe. Direction Holdings LLC does not store your payment card information. By completing a payment you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to ours. All prices are in US dollars.
Each lesson is billed at $99 per week as a separate transaction. A payment link will be provided prior to each session. Access to that session is contingent on payment being received.
8. Privacy
We collect your name and email address for the purpose of confirming your enrollment, communicating cohort details, and providing access to community resources. We do not sell or share your information with third parties. We may send you information about future cohorts; you can opt out at any time by replying to any email.
9. Limitation of liability
Direction Holdings LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in or inability to participate in a cohort. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the cohort in question.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Prince William County, Virginia.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled students via email. Continued participation in a cohort after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
